NORTHSIDE

My name is Ferel and I am so blessed to be part of Northside! My family has been loved by this church since 2012. My wife, Melissa, and the kids, and everybody....they're all super and I want you to meet them! Melissa plays keyboard in the band, and teaches a girls class on Wednesday nights, and a children's class on Sunday nights. I'm responsible for the care and oversight of the youth and children's ministries and I find great joy in teaching the RA's (Royal Ambassadors), a boys class (1-12th grades), on Wednesday nights. We are devoted to the mission of discipling these boys to grow up to be godly men who love Jesus, trust God, and "share the message of Christ around the world". We use sports, outdoor activities, summer camps, leadership training, Bible Drill, and group prayer to develop their skills and Christlike character. I also enjoy evangelism and preaching the Word. I offer training and encouragement to our folks as they mature into gospel witnesses for King Jesus!

Hello, my name is David. I became a Christian at the tender age of 10. I started attending Baptist Church services when I was in junior high and when my daughter Idrys was in junior high I started teaching her Sunday school class. My wife Irma and I had 5 children and 10 grandchildren. We moved to Mineral Wells, the town of my birth, in 2007 and joined Northside. Irma serves as a Sunday school teacher for our 4th and 5th graders. I have served as a high school and adult Sunday school teacher and as a deacon. I am currently serving as an elder. I passionately love Jesus, my wife and family, my Northside family and all the people our Father has called us to reach with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Michael was born and raised in upstate NY & SW Michigan. He became a Christian later in life. In traveling overseas for work he met his wife Hellen in Uganda. This launched his ministry work overseas supporting an orphanage, building and supporting a medical clinic, teaching pastors and evangelism. This ministry work led Michael to pursue a seminary education. He graduated from Midwest Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been married to Hellen for 16 years and they have 3 daughter's, Faith, Kaelyn and Jennifer and 2 grandchildren. He has been at Northside Baptist Church since January 2024.

I became a Christian in the summer of 2009, after attending Northside Baptist Church Mineral Wells for a few months. In the years since, I have served the church in various roles ranging from assisting church ministries to teaching and preaching. Lately, I’ve served as both a Deacon and Music Leader as well as assisting the Elder Body as an “acting Elder” before being officially designated as an Elder. As someone who was discipled by our church body, I am excited to continue that ministry of love and discipleship for others. All for the glory of our Heavenly Father.
